At Kiper Homes, we pride ourselves on our decades-long commitment to providing consistently high quality products with service to match. We venture to deliver on every level, which is why we’re known for a rigorous attention to detail reflected in thoughtful, elevated spaces that you’ll want to come home to. But at the end of the day, we know that the most important features of any home are the people who live in it, which is why we only build in communities that can offer you and your family the quality of life that you deserve. This fall, why not plan your family’s seasonal outings in places that Kiper calls home?

River Islands, Lathrop

Lathrop residents have convenient access to California’s largest agritourism attraction of the year–the pumpkin maze at Dellosso Family Farm in Stockton. Here, general admission gets you access to 18 classic fall attractions, including a petting zoo, a corn maze, a haunted house, and a hay ride, with several low-cost add-on activities available. Open until the end of October, you won’t want to miss the early bird special!

If you’re looking for an entertaining twist on pumpkin fun, check out “Punkin Chunkin”at the World of Wonders Science Museum and watch pumpkins take flight in a variety of gourd-hurling events that feature catapults, trebuchets, and the like. The event is BYOP–bring your own pumpkin–but there will be plenty for sale on the day of the event!

If ghosts and ghouls are more your kind of thing, the Martinez Family Scream Park is the Stockton area’s premier can’t-miss haunted house. This not-for-profit venture is put on each year by the Martinez family for free! In its third year, the park is on its way to becoming a Halloween institution–be sure to donate to the cause if you can so the project can be renewed in 2017!

Discovery Bay

If you’ve got your eye on our communities at Discovery Bay, you’ll be pleased by all of the seasonal activities that are to be found nearby. On October 15, the whole family will love the free, day-long activities at Rocktoberfest 2016 in Discovery Bay. An 80’s tribute band headlines, with a variety of vendors and activities, including line dancing, kids’ games, and even a Pokémon Go Lure Event with prizes.

On October 17, venture to nearby Oakley for the 4th Annual Heart of Oakley Festival. This free event includes gourmet world cuisine, historical and cultural exhibits, activities for kids, and wine tasting featuring local wineries and merchants.

If you’re looking for a more low-key way to enjoy the beauty and bounty of autumn, you won’t want to miss the many farmer’s markets in East County. While some thrive all season long, many end before the winter holidays. For a great weekday market, you don’t even need to leave Discovery Bay! If you’re a weekend shopper, check out the Saturday market in nearby Brentwood, open through November 19.

More than just a home

If you’re thinking about buying, you won’t want to make a decision based on a single walk-through alone. You’ll want to get to know your future home first hand both inside and out. From living spaces to schools, to employment to festive seasonal entertainment, you’ll find that the quality of our homes is matched only by the communities we choose to build them in. So, this fall, come get to know the communities that inspire our work!
